LEADERSHIP AS AN INNER PRACTICE

PRESENCE, REGULATION AND CHOICE UNDER PRESSURE

THE FOUNDATION

THE WORK

Most leaders are promoted for their ability to "do," yet they are rarely taught how to "be" when the stakes are high. This workshop is designed to build that inner capacity.

As you move into Senior Leadership and Director roles, complexity increases and the pressure to react follows. If you don’t understand how your brain works under stress, you end up layering strategy and information onto an already overloaded internal state, without integrating any of it into how you actually lead in the moment.

Leadership as an Inner Practice is grounded in a simple idea: presence is a competitive advantage. In this workshop, you’ll learn a science-based framework for understanding what happens in the brain under pressure and how to shift from survival-driven reactions to clear, intentional leadership in real time.

RECOGNIZE THE MOMENT

WHO IS THIS FOR

If you recognize moments like these:

• Overthinking decisions long after they’re made
• Feeling tension rise during conversations
• Reacting quickly and wishing you had handled it differently
• Carrying stress from one situation into the next

This workshop teaches you how to notice that internal shift and return to clarity in real time.

WHAT GETS IN THE WAY

THE SURVIVAL RESPONSE

Leadership challenges don’t start with other people; they start within. When stress builds, the nervous system shifts quickly and access to clarity narrows. We fall into familiar Saboteur patterns - overthinking, pushing harder, people-pleasing, reacting, or withdrawing.

This is the Survival brain at work. It is efficient, fast, and protective, but it limits perspective and flexibility.

The Sage brain, by contrast, is the state that supports empathy, innovation, and strategic thinking.

The skill is not eliminating stress. The skill is recognizing the shift and learning how to move from Survival to Sage in the moment.

HOW THIS WORKS

BUILDING PRESENCE UNDER PRESSURE

This workshop integrates three practical elements:

• A simple Two-Brain neuroscience model to recognize your stress patterns
• Meditation as a foundational practice for steadiness and awareness
• Mental fitness tools (PQ Reps) to help you shift your state in real time

Instead of realizing you overreacted after the fact, you learn to catch the internal shift while it’s happening. Over time, daily awareness and regulation strengthen your ability to stay clear, empathetic, and strategic - not just in theory, but in meetings, decisions, and difficult conversations.

CHANGE STARTS WITHIN

IT TAKES COURAGE TO INTROSPECT, STRENGTH TO CONFRONT YOURSELF AND DETERMINATION TO FIND YOUR TRUTH.
